Admittedly, we have always been skeptical of the current craze for categorical ranking. Whether it's The 10 Most Common Causes of Food Poisoning, Six Reasons to Avoid Prague, The Five-Fave-Food-Trucks East of La Brea or Twelve Ways to Know That Your Spouse Is Shtupping the Nanny, we at TLCA find this crude exercise in paraphrase vaguely patronizing.

 And yet ...

 Timmy does have his favorites and against our better judgement, he has listed here in this preview The 5 Best Contemporary Painters Working Today.
